What Guests Are Saying

Camp host Connie received high praise for her friendliness and cleanliness, making for a pleasant stay. While access to water recreation is limited due to a locked gate, the campsite remains a lovely area for camping, with beautiful surroundings. However, visitors should be aware of the small site sizes and the distance to drinking water, suggesting that bringing your own water is advisable.

We love visiting Slide Creek! We're from Seattle and happened upon this spot 3 years ago and have since camped here 5-6 times. We usually travel during off season so it's very calm, just what we need to unplug.

Two things I wished we had known beforehand:

The single water source is a very long walk and not accessible with a vehicle. Be prepared to walk far and carry your water some distance.

The whole area is a bit depressed because the lake is so low. Talking to locals and some folks who have camped there annually for many, many years, it has been on the decline for some time with no efforts to keep the lake full in favor of letting the water flow downstream (or so they say).

I would not camp here again unless the lake became fuller and allowed for a better experience.
