Each camp site has a good amount of spacing from each other and never feels too crowded. It's quiet and calm with perfect roads for biking or walking around. If you go for the river, be aware there is only one small access point, and on hot days it gets crowded with people and boats. The volunteers on site are incredibly helpful and informative. There is no wood to buy on site, but they have great guidance on where you can go to purchase. Clean bathrooms and ample trash site. Great for the entire family.

Great campground with a good variety of campsites. The facilities are clean, well maintained, and have hosts to help out. No alcohol, no drugs are allowed, and seems to keep it quieter and more family oriented.

The site photos and map were a bit misleading in regards to how spaced out the camp sites were and the size of the sites. I paid for a 16 person campsite for 5 days, luckily only 8 people ended up going. There was only enough flat ground for 2 tents, otherwise you were sliding into the sticker bushes. Our fire ring seemed to be half the size of the sites around us and was in disrepair; unsecured, undeveloped, and hardly enough room for 1 burning log under the grate. Luckily we hadn't planned on cooking on it. Despite no hookups, the campsites were almost exclusively RV, or Trailers which kind of takes away from the experience when you get to listen to generators running all day.

We totally enjoyed our stay at Schwarz Campground. The campground was full but we had no issues. The volunteers were very friendly and helpful. The campground was quiet by 10 pm. Will definitely stay again.

Some really great camping spots down by the river and large group areas. Clean bathrooms, and plenty of amenities for families.
Unfortunately, the camp sites by the entrance near the volunteer caretaker spots were the only sites available when we booked and they were terrible. Very noisy because they were right by the busy highway (Government Rd) and dangerous for small children (or in our case for our dogs).
Also, there were some pretty sketchy "tenants" in that area. Specifically a beat up RV with graffiti on it, plywood in the windows and some questionable people driving it. Made us second guess leaving behind our belongings while we hiked in the area.
Lastly, at least a quarter of the sites were "vacant" but reserved. I understand that's not necessarily the camground's fault, but as a renter we would have greatly appreciated moving our one night reservation to a better and safer location away from the road if at all possible. Hopefully the campground operators can come up with a way of shuffling reservations or clearing unused reservations in the future to help those actually using the sites feel more comfortable. When we asked to see if we could move to an unused site, the volunteers where extremely rude and just repetitively told us "we're booked out" without even looking up reservations etc. We felt very unheard.
