The vault toilets were extremely clean. Site 1 was very well cared for. The frogs at night are quite loud, and you'll need to bring bug spray. Get firewood at the general store in town before heading up the mountain. There's no water or firewood on hand. Check in with the camp host, even if you reserved online. They're very sweet. Going up the mountain further and seeing the coast and Tillamook from the top is a must.

Nice campground w/ awesome water access. Almost all walk in sites, semi private, kinda odd layout.

Had a great time at Hebo Lake, I stayed 10 days by myself & meet a lot of great people. The camp host's keep the place nice and clean and are very friendly. Great fishing for everyone with all the docks around the lake. Just don't tell everyone?? It's a place I like go and relax catch some fish for dinner and enjoy a nice campfire.

This campground is up in the woods along a very good road, but is only for small vehicles vans no trailers. The campground is hosted by two wonderful people, the bathrooms were extremely clean and smelled good. The campsites were large and had lots of foliage between each site, really enjoyed our time here . The pond is beautiful and there’s great trails to walk around. There is no water so bring your own for everything.

From Hebo, OR: Starting at the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 22, travel 1/4 mile south on Highway 22 to Forest Service Road 14; if you reach the Hebo Ranger Station you have gone too far. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 14 and travel east for 4.5 miles; the entrance to the Hebo Lake Campground will be on the right.
Hebo Lake Campground is accessible via Highway 22, which connects to Highway 101 approximately 1/4 mile to the west.
Elevation: 513 feet
5.1 mi drive to downtown Hebo (about 13 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- No drinking water.
- No RV hookups.
- Learn more about the Siuslaw National Forest.
- Limit 2 vehicles per site
- No RV/Trailer over 18 ft.
- Don't Move Firewood: Please protect Pacific Northwest forests by preventing the spread of invasive species. Firewood can carry insects and diseases that can threaten the health of our western forests. You can make a difference by obtaining and burning your firewood near your camping destination.
