What Guests Are Saying
Hebo Lake Campground is a beautiful and tranquil destination with spacious, private sites and stunning natural scenery. Many visitors enjoyed excellent fishing opportunities and abundant wildlife, including a resident bald eagle. While the campground is well maintained by friendly hosts, campers should be aware that there's no potable water or firewood available, and the check-in process can be challenging due to limited phone service.

We absolutely loved this campground. The camp hosts were amazing and very friendly. The restrooms were by far the cleanest and best smelling vault toilets we have ever seen. The lake was small but very nice, we had fun catching fish and newts. We also went out at nite to look for the frogs that we could hear and had fun walking around the lake. In the mornings and evenings, we could see a rabbit around camp, and during the day we saw chipmunks and stellar jays. Overall we had so much fun we didn't want to leave. Next year we will be staying longer.

Very quiet and tranquil on a weekday. Great camp host. The site is on a large open area with a grill shelter. If the campground is empty, I guess you can drive around the lake and find a more private first-come site. But when there are no people, it feels like the entire lake is just for you. Make sure to drive up the mountain top.

Camp hosts, Tom and Joan, were wonderful! Their extra touches could be seen, and smelled, in the vault restrooms. I was impressed with how well the trail was cleared since the last time I hiked there, the trail was quite overgrown.

Very sketchy campground. Grass was waist high. Parking pads very uneven. I didn't stay. Moved on down the road.

It was so peaceful minus the fact we decided to go when there was huge lightening and thunder storm lol !
The lake is gorgeous, the trails are fun and beautiful to walk! Tons of cute little creatures! They had a play area set up for families! ❤️ 10/10 would recommend and will be coming here again in nicer weather!
