What Guests Are Saying
Hebo Lake Campground is a beautiful and tranquil destination with spacious, private sites and stunning natural scenery. Many visitors enjoyed excellent fishing opportunities and abundant wildlife, including a resident bald eagle. While the campground is well maintained by friendly hosts, campers should be aware that there's no potable water or firewood available, and the check-in process can be challenging due to limited phone service.

Didn't realize in the fine print it was not a campsite, just the picnic area rental. The people there said it happens a lot. Should be in larger print to be clear.

Love this place - super quiet and rustic, just what we want for a weekend getaway. Outhouses are clean, hosts are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful campground. Lush, green forest with a small mountain lake in the middle. Quiet and peaceful, nice and dark at night. No running water when I went, so had to bring own. Also no firewood available, so had to purchase in nearby town of Hebo. Some good trees for hammocks in some sites, such as 4 and 8. Be prepared for rain, since you are really in the heart of the temperate coastal rainforest here. On my trip here in early august it rained the entire time. Luckily the nice historic shelter with picnic tables and large fireplace provided a welcome respite to cook and relax in for the evening. I hear the lake is good for trout fishing, and there is a small boat ramp for launching non-motorized vessels, and several fishing decks along the shore. Will be back, with fishing rod and canopy for shelter from the rain :)

Our hosts were attentive and went out of their way to help us. They offered a different campsite when they saw we were not happy with the one we reserved, they helped me inflate our dingy with their personal 12v, they were very tolerant of our barking dog and were just genuinely good and sweet people. The campground was calm, the lake was beautiful with flowering lily pads and an abundance of salamanders. Many families, all very respectful. And 2 beautiful trails: a short one around the lake and a much longer one up towards South Lake. Highly recommend this place!
