What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

A favorite place to camp. But...shocking lack of staff or forest service presence.

Location is excellent to find hikes in surrounding area. The access to the river is great. Campground has become neglected and out of control. No enforcement of reservations and rules. No host when we visited. Safest Monday- Thursday, the weekend is a nightmare! Be prepared to clean up food waste and garbage from your site. Great location and original plan, it's just gone downhill in the last few years.

This is our 3rd time staying at this campground. We will come back no matter what. However, I will say that this most recent stay (Aug 4-10) it was so dirty. There was garbage all over our campsites (14-18) and bones were everywhere. We had to rake our sites so our kids didn’t step on anything that could have hurt them. Our dogs kept wanting to ingest these bones (looked like spinal chunks of an animal). We were happy because we got to go camping but the overall appearance was awful. Plus, the garbages hadn’t been picked up recently and was OVER FLOWING. the bathrooms were gross and ran out of toilet paper.
Like I said, we will go back no matter what as this is the FIRST time we weren’t 100% happy with everything.

Loved the site, plenty of room. Close to the estuary, and like that loop. Didn't have any problems. Would just remind people if you are camping at the dunes, ppl are their to ride. I have seen lots of reviews about noise, you are camping in a ATV use area. I would expect noise and riding. Loved the campground and the access to the estuary and dunes.

Dirty restrooms and plenty of dune drivers. Quiet hours 12-6. Horribly loud :-(

Great campsite and beautiful location, BUT, no quiet hour enforcement. ATV’s were riding through the night. Hard to sleep even with ear plugs. If you’re looking for a quiet, serene camp experience, would not recommend.

Don't spend time here unless you are part of the ATV culture here. It felt more like a gas station than a relaxing campground. Loud and smelly (with the exhaust!).

The campground itself was ok. Sites were nice, restrooms was rundown, dirty, no hand soap or sanitizer etc.
The big problem with this campground is the ATV noise right up until midnight and beyond. If you like relaxing and trying to sleep to wroom, wroom, wroom this is the place for you!
