Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

Very nice forest service camp ground. No power, water, or sewer services. Bathroom close bye. Paved road services and campsites were flat and paved, large sites for kids to play. This is a OHV area with access to sand lake dunes, ocean beaches, and a very large Bay Area. The kid loved playing in the water and sand.

No issues of any kind. Had a great time with the family, it was mostly quite when we stayed!

Quiet hours don't matter when you're next to the dunes, the ATV's go all night long. People hauling butt through camp all day and night, doing wheelies and making incredible amounts of noise. Dumpsters all overflowing. And maybe the worst campground bathroom I have ever experienced.

Beautiful area, wonderful beaches and the sunset was fantastic. The bathrooms were not as clean and stocked as we have found in other locations. The campsite itself was good. More remote in the sense of no additional services available, but if one is aware of this no problem. The sites are heavy ATV use so just be aware of that. Everyone does follow the rules on noise so after 10pm... that was good.

We stayed at this campground on 6/17/24. The bathrooms at this campground were filthy and in disrepair.

Not great if you’re looking for a quiet campground. Lots of loud OHV’s around the campground - most, but not all, of which drive slowly. Wouldn’t stay here again as a tent camper.

ATVs are loud but that is expected. Fireworks all night long are not. Someone should patrol for that on the 4th of July weekend. Then there are the quiet hour rules..... 10pm... with the exception that you can parade ATVs through the campground until midnight so what is the point? Why would you need to ride ATVs after 10PM?

This is our second 4th of July spent at this campground. The law enforcement and staff presence was noticeable and so appreciated. The camp hosts did an amazing job trying to keep up with toilet paper needs in the bathrooms and trying to redistribute garbage in the full dumpsters. Overall our group had 4 campsites with young kids and it was a fantastic trip! We will definitely be back next year!

Stayed here for July 4th week, unaware of the “festival” happening. So many non campers coming in to the campground to use the bathrooms and destroying them. We had an Apple Watch stolen off of the picnic table, and people walking in our campsite and touching tents when we were asleep. People kept driving through our campsite, and ran over the kids’ sand toys, thank goodness it wasn’t a kid. We are all for a fun party and having a good time but at 4 am when people still wouldn’t shut up and kept waking up the kids, we finally had to say something, and that wasn’t even on the 4th! We have stayed here several times in the past and it has never been like this. We love this campground and riding the dunes here. I hope you find a solution to some of these issues. The camp hosts were doing their best but they were overwhelmed.
