What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

I brought my sister's family to camp here for my niece's first outdoor camping experience. It's a family-friendly campground to introduce newbies to the outdoors on the coast. I chose the location for its proximity to many attractions. The campground is just ~12 mins drive to Pacific City to see Cape Kiwanda State Park in the southern direction and about ~15 mins drive north to Tillamook for the cheese factory experience. The campground itself is mostly clean and while it is early in the spring season, we found (most) campers to be polite and respectful with quiet hours. This is an ATV-designated campground for people exploring the sand dunes so people should take that into consideration before considering to camp here if noise or such activity is an issue. This campground also went away from the old cash payment system so you will need to register your campsite online via the website in advance. There is no cellular signal inside the campground so you will need to walk out to the beach to find signal or drive into a nearby town such as Pacific City. We were able to get signal from the beach if you walk farther out into the open area. Some campgrounds will be flooded seasonally as mentioned on the website so you should avoid those sites and possibly the one annex / nearby them as well.

Horrible experience here. A large group moved in next to us. 6 tents and 5 vehicles in one site. Raced OHVs around campground at 11:30pm until 1 am and partied hard. Campground host was deaf and blind to the problem. Very poorly enforced rules. Stay away unless you like to break the rules. We had 4 days booked but left after three horrible nights.

If you LOVE ATVs then this is the place for you, otherwise, go somewhere else. Sounded like the pits at a NASCAR race from 7am-11pm.

We have been coming to Sand Lake for years now, and it still serves the purpose which is mainly riding and having fun on the sand. So, for those looking to just do regular camping, not the best destination.

We had a reservation for 4 days, we were close so decided to drive through and check it out. Thank goodness we did! It was tight turns, rigs so close you could see what your neighbors were having for breakfast and hear what they were saying. Guess it would be great for a family reunion or friendsgiving, but for just wanting to relax, this is NOT the place.
