What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

Unless you're going to ride an off-road vehicle in the dunes, do not go to this campground.
Riding is allowed 6a to midnight, and you can expect people to ride past your campsite on very loud vehicles non-stop during those hours.
If you're going to ride, great spot. For everyone else, find a campground that doesn't allow ATVs.

The camp host isn't given the resources to properly clean the restrooms.
The beach is full of trash from people camping on the sand. Unknown where their "waste" is going. Not able to ride as people camping in the riding area. Been going there for 25 years and this is sad to see as now there's as many campers on the sand as in the campground. Too many people for the size of the area on the weekends. Can only ride during the week. Signs say no alcohol on the sand but there are beer cans everywhere.

We come to this campground every year to ride the dunes. We have never had an issue until this year. Our SxS was stolen in the middle of the day. We left for a family lunch in Pacific City and came back it being taken from our camp site. Camp host and Police both said this is a common occurrence. We will be back but will have more safety precautions in place. If you visit this area, make sure you lock your items up and take the necessary steps to secure you belongings.

Great campground. Love that there's a walking beach along with the atv beach on the other side. Bathrooms could be cleaner at times but overall was a great vacation. Will be back again!

I wish the camp rules were enforced better. We have been coming to Sandlake since the 80’s and it isn’t what it used to be.We love Sandbeach but they no longer enforce ATVs staying on pavement. Need to supply soap in bathroom also.We will still come, but it’s disappointing.

The campground itself is beautiful, but you need to be aware of a few things before you book. #1, there's no soap in the bathrooms. Seriously. No soap or hand sanitizer of any kind. Right after a pandemic as well. Did we learn nothing?? #2, there is no cell service for about ten miles all around the site. If that's not a problem for you, fair enough. It was for us, because we were trying to plan our next stop on a road trip and kept having to travel quite a distance to find signal. #3, there is no peace and quiet whatsoever, because you'll be listening to ATVs and side-by-sides from 0600 until after midnight every single day. Even with ear plugs in, they were annoying. Again, if that's your bag, fair enough, but it's not ours and it was very frustrating.
