*READ THE DESCRIPTION AND REVIEWS BEFORE BOOKING. DON’T MAKE OUR MISTAKE.* We needed a cheap place to stay after an event on the coast and this was the only place with availability that wasn’t an expensive hotel during peak season. Didn’t read the reviews or description, which is my bad. What can I say? We were desperate. We quickly discovered why this was the only place with availability. This is NOT the place to stay if you’re a fan of such frivolous things as sleep, peace & quiet, being able to hear yourself think, etc. This is, basically, the ATV capital of the universe. It was just an endless parade all around our campsite of people whose daddies didn’t ever tell them “I love you” blocking out their sadness with the revving of engines and screaming at people in other campsites as they passed. Until they finally passed out in a pile of childhood regrets and adult overcompensation at around 2AM. Which, man, we all got issues, you gotta do what you gotta do to cope, and if that’s what makes you happy, great. Personally, I am just glad alcohol and earplugs exist, without which I wouldn’t have gotten any sleep.
Also, our campsite had some garbage and the bathrooms were in need of some maintenance; the hand dryer in the women’s room was fully busted, no soap in the men’s room.
We went to the day use fishing area once we packed up and it felt like going home after a concert. It was a surprisingly peaceful and beautiful spot, though our ears were still ringing from the endless roar of engines, reduced to just a distant, dull hum in this area. You definitely will NOT find peace and quiet at your campsite, but the silver lining is that you won’t have to go far to find it.
I didn’t have a bad time altogether, honestly. Definitely not a place I’d book again, but if you are planning on going camping specifically to have a party or don’t mind the noise, this is your spot! And the sandy campsites were pretty big and comfy.

Very simply put, the bathrooms are not hardly being maintained anymore, but campground hosts are no longer placing reservation placards on the site, the entire facility has no first come first serve. The groundskeepers are not trimming the trees back enough, and have caused damage to not only mine, but my friends trailers. There is absolutely no places to dump gray and black tanks before you leave. We pay a lot of money every year in vehicle fees, and camping fees there should be some sort of facility to be able to accommodate the dump.
