What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

There were many people driving and riding on the beach, when confronted they came to our campsite and wanted to fight us. Kids were riding and walking through the campsites that were not theirs, most had no helmets on. No one makes campers accountable, its basically a free for all. Not quiet, not peaceful even when you think a walk on the beach would do you some good, you get almost ran over by some idiot who is driving through the snowy plover area!!! Unsure if we will ever come back, we ride, have a SxS and fourwheelers but its just not fun anymore, downright scary and unsafe!!

Bring your wind and rain gear along with a good sense of humor, might as well bring your family down with you to enjoy the experience! Park was kept up by the friendly camp hosts. Enjoy camping when you can.

My family has been camping at Sandlake for literally decades. It’s a good spot to teach your kids riding, although over the years it has gotten busier. But we love it & will keep going every year.

The condition of this campground is poor. We come about one time per year. Luckily, we are self-contained. When we arrive, we police our own campsites for trash, dog piles, etc. The restrooms are not kept very clean at all, as per usual. The RV dump has been out of order for years.

The dunes & beach were amazing!
The camp hosts greeted us with rules & saying the restrooms were well kept. They were not! We bought rubber gloves and a bucket with which to unclog toilets so those in our party without their own could actually use one.
Note - The gentleman of the camp host party was friendly. The woman? She just wanted to list rules in a "this us my place" way, & none of us were impressed by her tone/attitude.

Very spacious campsites, extremely clean, quiet, everyone was respectful and the camp host was playful to my little boy.
