What Guests Are Saying
Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. While it may not be ideal for those seeking peace and quiet, it provides a fun, active camping experience.

my way of thinking the camp host does not have enough to say what is going on in the camp it was a mess he did his best but he does not have athority.

Hosts are very pleasant. Restrooms are reasonably clean for the amount of use. There is a severe lack of enforcement. Parking, riding off pavement, excessive speed in campground.
We have been going for 2 weeks in August for 25 years. It is becoming a zoo.
Would really like to see more forest service and sheriff presence.

Like always when camping on public land, Be prepared for great neighbors or bad ones…yes ORVs make noise and that’s fine. But drunk yelling people in the middle of the night is not cool. Also, allowing over 20 people and 6 vehicles led to camp in a non-group single site is wrong and leads to issues.

One person from our group had his Honda 450 motorcycle stolen right out of the campsite. Otherwise it was pretty fun. The campsite we were at was no good for our RV. Due to the fact the picnic table which was made out of concrete which was damn heavy was in the wrong spot where the RV had a back up could not open the back door.

Great base to explore that part of the coast. Nice calm lake for SUP. Great deserted beach to walk on. While there are a lot of people riding the dunes during the day it was quiet at night. No AT&T cell service.
