We have been going to Sandlake for over 3 years annually now. This was the first year we camped and hands down the BEST experience! Amazing campground we will be camping every time we visit Sandlake from now on!

The campground is not very taken care of. There is a lot of trash laying around. My particular site someone had used the fire ring as a garbage can. I get it, the campgrounds are more of a staging area for off road vehicles... but come on, have some pride. It was relatively quiet while I was there, only a few campers and that was pretty nice. I have used SandBeach Campgrounds as a middle point on my Oregon Coast camping trips and now that nearby Cape Lookout is open again I think this will be my last visit to SandBeach..... the garbage is just too much.

Please note this is an ATV campground. There are lots of people constantly driving around from early to very late. Lots of families in campers. This did not bother us but may bother others looking for a quiet campsite.
We did not have any service at the campsite (totally fine) but did get some service out on the beach! (I have T-Mobile).
There are no showers (which is fine, we knew this ahead of time) but there was no soap or even hand sanitizer in the bathrooms (definitely pack your own).
Every campsite has a fire pit and large picnic table.
They were not strict on the 2 car rule as we had 3 at ours and they only asked to make sure everyone was parked fully on the pavement.
The beach and lake are beautiful!

Sandbeach Campground is accessible via Highway 101, which is approximately 11 miles to the east from Tillamook. Sandlake Road (County Road 871) connects directly to Highway 101 and leads to Galloway Road.
Elevation: 4 feet
16 mi drive to downtown Hebo (about 23 min)
Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- Motorized vehicles on sand must comply with Oregon OHV regulations.

- A ticket system is in place for Fourth of July weekend; vehicle tickets or campground reservations are required.
