Sandbeach Campground offers a clean, well-maintained environment with friendly camp hosts and excellent access to the beach and dunes, making it a great spot for families and ATV enthusiasts. Many campers appreciate the spacious sites and enjoyable atmosphere, despite some noise from OHVs and occasional bathroom maintenance issues. Fantastic hosts and campsites! The beach is wonderful by the lake. Will definitely be back.
A little noisy around Jul 4th with the SXS and 4.wheelers.but they behave well.

Way too many people are allowed in on the holiday weekends, and basically anytime anymore. Too many cars too many people it's not even safe to go out on the sand. It is ridiculous that they cannot do a permit system or have better control of the people and the noise and the quiet time, the camp hosts are useless, the Rangers don't go through the campgrounds, it is just wild west and No Holds Barred and no rules. I have been going for over 20 years and have seen the change. I'm not a newbie who does not know what Sand Lake is about which is ATVs which is noise, I know that but this is beyond Way Beyond what is tolerable

Rules were not followed regarding atv use after 10pm and fireworks. It seemed the hosts were not interested or able to enforce the rules.

This campsite was wonderful! We had site 001 it on the corner right at the front so it felt secluded from other campgrounds. The host was very friendly. You do hear a ton of ATV but most are done by 10pm. Bathrooms were clean. Absolutely no service!

We stayed in Site 14 for 2 nights. It was a decent size site, but a little wet and soggy in places. The area has lots of sand dunes and is a big recreation site for ATV and off road vehicles which we weren't aware of and daytime noise can be a turn off for some. The first night was dead quiet. However, the next day people occupied the site next to ours and were, loud, obnoxious and belligerent. One guy came up to us and said that he had friends occupying our site the next day and pretty much warned us to be out of our site at a decent time. We just brushed it off since there are check out time to adhere to. These people played their music for everyone to hear and despite 10pm quiet hours, they were noisy until 1:30am. At that point, we thought that finally we could sleep, but that didn't last long because they turned on a generator for the rest of the night. It appeared that they were charging vehicle batteries and no electrical extension cords going to any of their tents. It was a very unpleasant night. Some people just make everyone else's experience unpleasant for the sake of their own experience. We notified the campground host and he said that he will do more patrols to ensure people are observing the quiet hours. The campground was nice, but we won't stay there again.

Very loud campground: dune buggies and dirt bikes racing around without mufflers till dark, and big RV’s with generators. Can only book online, have to use camp host’s satellite hotspot as there is no cell service. Will not visit again.
