Excellent facilities on a beautiful lake make this a great summer escape. From tent camping to glamping they offer it all. Camp store has enough of the basic goods in case you forget something. Kayak rentals are very expensive, most I’ve ever seen actually. But that’s the only negative thing we experienced. Great stay and we would recommend.

The campsites are spread out so that I barely saw my neighbors, the campsites were spacious as well. We hiked up Lost Lake Butte Trail to a GORGEOUS view of Mt Hood, then came back to swim in the lake with salamanders, crawdads, and ospreys overhead! Our family has been camping for 30 years and we all agreed this was one of our best.

Lost Lake Campground is absolutely gorgeous! We stayed at D15. It was clean, private and peaceful. All the qualities we were looking for. The campground has a few trails that gave us great views of Mt. Hood. We rented a couple of pedal boats from the on-site boat rental and went out on the lake. They were friendly and informative. We will definitely be back!

Lovely campground. The stairs to the site’s picnic table and fire pit were a bit too steep, but the campground was beautiful.

The camp host was very rude. I also scratched the side of my truck on a big rock that was hidden in the greenery on the side of our driveway. I love lost lake, but I don’t think I’ll ever camp there again.

I loved the rustic charm of the campground and the peaceful, quiet atmosphere it provided. I especially enjoyed hiking the scenic trails and kayaking on the lake without the disruption of motorized boats. One of the highlights of my visit was exploring the boardwalk trails, which provided a unique and memorable way to experience the natural beauty of the surroundings. Overall, it was a relaxing and exceptional outdoor experience.

Beautiful lake, although day use is a bit hectic, especially without a central beach area. Campsites were private and very quiet at night. Firewood was available to buy at the store.

Campsite had a tree blocking a whole tent site. A windfall made it difficult to enter our big tent without coming in contact with the tree.
Other than that, camping in Oregon is always much improved with tarp city (canopies with tarps tied down for the rain and wind)

From Portland Oregon: Take Highway 84 for approximately 58 miles, exiting at #62. Take Country Club Road to Barrett Drive turning left on Barrett Drive to Tucker Road. Turn right on Tucker Road which eventually intersects with 281 (Dee Highway); take Dee Highway to the Lost Lake Road exit, Lost Lake Road dead-ends at Lost Lake Resort & Campground.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in is required before setting up your site during May, and can be done at a kiosk, store, or with a host.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- An additional fee of $20 per night applies for extra vehicles and $32 per night for extra RVs.
- A day use fee of $15.00 is charged per vehicle.
- A 2% tax is applied to campground fees.
Site capacity
- A minimum stay of three nights is required on weekends and holidays, and site swapping or selling is prohibited.
Safety & rules
- Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the lake.
- Adverse weather conditions may occur in May, affecting roads and sites; consult a host before setting up your site.
Wildlife & food storage
- Be cautious of bears in the area; maintain a clean campsite and store food in closed containers.
