We did not enjoy this campsite. It was very hot with little shade, and very dusty. You have to park far away from the actual site. The lake itself is small, and the surrounding shoreline is mostly stumps from logged trees. There are great views of mount hood if you choose to hike, but not from the lake itself. We did not stay the night

Clean campground; very well maintained by the host who was conversational and kind. Large campgrounds with lots of solitude. Nearby hiking was beautiful. Great experience.

A neat campground that is very quiet and not that busy and one of the easiest to book for the summer. The lake does flucuate in level so it's not like timothy lake or frog lake. No water or cell service and the road was rough coming in so definitely a higher clearance vehicle is needed. Kids had a ton of fun. Host was very kind.

We had a great stay at this campsite! The camp host was absolutely amazing—personable, friendly, and went above and beyond to keep the bathroom facilities clean, which was especially impressive given how busy the site was. The surroundings are truly spectacular, and the views of Mt. Hood from the water are unbeatable.
That said, this is a very popular and active site. There was a lot of traffic early in the morning with cars and trailers arriving, plus a steady stream of day-use visitors throughout the day. This made the site quite noisy and dusty at times. It’s not the most private campground, but the short walk to the water helped make up for that.
Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with a fantastic host—just be prepared for a more bustling camping experience.

The camp host was very helpful and friendly.
The road into Laurance Lake is very rough, I had an 18 foot trailer and I did make it, but would not recommend anything larger than that.
Our trailer site was very nice, in the trees and well shaded, but was somewhat difficult to get backed into. I would not recommend bringing a large trailer here.
