This site is fully in the sun. If it is warm to hot there will not be much shade to escape the sun. If it is rainy, there is a lack of trees to put up a tarp. There is a second tent area in the shade but it is also very close to the toilet (pit). It is a bit of a hike down to the lake from here as well. The hike around the lake is beautiful....

This was my first time camping at Lost Lake. It took a few weeks to land a campsite but the effort was worth it. The worst thing were the thunderstorms that rolled through since without cellular service it's not possible to get weather info. The lake and trails are great. The seat of the vault toilet nearest the day use spot we used was broken on one mounting tab. The toilets were serviced by a honey wagon during our visit which helped with the aromas. The trash truck came through the campground to dump the bins early morning during the supposed quiet time .

Day use was so ridiculously busy. People started showing up at 6am to get a spot. There was no parking, the vault toilets nearest the day use were overused and the floors felt like they were going to break at any time.

We have been coming to Lost Lake Resort with our friends and family for the last 10 summers. We stay anywhere from 5-7 days. The last 2 years the Camp Host nearest our site has made it a point to talk to our group in fact he came in and reprimanded our child for normal talking voices and threatened to kick us out if it continued. And when they did start whispering around the campfire he came by a few nights later to talk to them again this time before quiet time. We have never had any issues in the past and we used to stay up much later playing board games, we are camping, this is not a 5* hotel that people are expecting a good nights sleep. When it doesnt get dark until 930 and then you cant even have conversations around a campfire it is ridiculous. This whole situation made our trip not relaxing! I was on edge and afraid that we were going to be asked to leave for our children talking after paying hundreds of dollars to get the sites drive up and pay for all of our food. Like i said we have been coming up for 10 years it is tradition and we hope they get a new host!

From Portland Oregon: Take Highway 84 for approximately 58 miles, exiting at #62. Take Country Club Road to Barrett Drive turning left on Barrett Drive to Tucker Road. Turn right on Tucker Road which eventually intersects with 281 (Dee Highway); take Dee Highway to the Lost Lake Road exit, Lost Lake Road dead-ends at Lost Lake Resort & Campground.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Check-in is required before setting up your site during May, and can be done at a kiosk, store, or with a host.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Fees & deposits
- An additional fee of $20 per night applies for extra vehicles and $32 per night for extra RVs.
- A day use fee of $15.00 is charged per vehicle.
- A 2% tax is applied to campground fees.
Site capacity
- A minimum stay of three nights is required on weekends and holidays, and site swapping or selling is prohibited.
Safety & rules
- Motorized vehicles are prohibited on the lake.
- Adverse weather conditions may occur in May, affecting roads and sites; consult a host before setting up your site.
Wildlife & food storage
- Be cautious of bears in the area; maintain a clean campsite and store food in closed containers.
