Not our usual experience at Lost Lake. Frontline customer service is poor, and prices are high. If you charge premium prices you have to provide a premium experience.

We arrived after checking Facebook for up to date info. No information was offered at the front gate. When we got near our spot, another camper told us “they’re closing tomorrow at 8am” and drove off. No one else in the campground had heard. We had to go to the store to hear that yes, the forest was closing and we would be forced to leave first thing in the morning. While the circumstances were exceptional, the fact that there was no posted information anywhere — at the very least at the gates — was shocking and irresponsible. We ended up paying for that night despite leaving because of the high wind warning and the fact that we’d have to pack up by 7am. It was dangerous and irresponsible, even under the extreme circumstances.
