What Guests Are Saying
Aspen Point at Lake of the Woods offers a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, private sites, excellent lake access, and friendly hosts. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for outdoor activities, such as biking and kayaking. However, there are consistent complaints about the outdated and poorly maintained restroom facilities, as well as noise issues during peak times, which detracts from the overall experience.

Bathrooms & campsites were very clean and the lake was perfect. However, if you're looking for a nice quiet time in nature or a quiet night for tent sleeping, this is not the place. It is fairly noisy at night with screaming kids and drunk adults partying.

The campsite at Aspen were great and well taken care of. All the hosts and employee were excellent, friendly and professional. But all 3 times we drove to the marina the people working the entrances were rude.

It was difficult to find a level area to put the tent up. I ended up sleeping at a slope. There were also some young girls, early teens from the sounds, that were very loud. a lot of yelling at one another. I was trying to go to sleep at about 10:30, but they kept getting louder and then were running around on the roads. I don't know if they were playing tag or what. I wanted to get out of bed, find them so I could ask them to be quiet, but finally fell asleep. My grandsons told me the text morning that the adults began getting very loud around 1130 from the same area as the girls.
Is there not a designated quiet time?

Big space and plenty of room for tennis and a trailer.

We love Aspen point camp ground - nice large areas - beautiful lake. We brought our boat and camper. The wind was persistent and a little cool for July - but a good time.

Stayed one night in July of 2020. Our site was near the lake (we didn't have the chance to go in but would have) among many tall trees and there was ample space between campsites. Lots of families, music playing loudly during the day (didn't bother us), clean bathrooms. We didn't need to have interaction with camp hosts but we got friendly waves upon our arrival. Would visit again if in the area.
