One of our favorite campgrounds in Oregon. Would have been a 10 star but couldn't have campfire.

With the exception of the busy and unsafe boat activity we experienced on the weekend we had a lovely time. This is the campground that we came to year after year with our kids and friends but it's been 8 or so years. Seems that Sunset has been discovered and we did have some sadness around that. Most people were respectful as we had 2 little ones with us but a beach full of motorboats, loud music & heavy drinking was a reminder that we need to book our time during the week in the future. The campground was well cared for & quiet considering how many people were there

The lake is beautiful and the forest is magnificent! The downside is how busy it really is: we were there on a Tuesday, not a holiday and the lake was packed with people. We did not enjoy the jet ski's, very loud and annoying! Should not be allowed, people who ride them don't care about the other visitor's enjoyment or the peace and tranquility, the wildlife doesn't have a chance at this lake being overrun with boats and jet ski's without a speed restriction like other lakes have.

The morning camp hosts were a wonderful couple. Unfortunately later in the afternoon another camp host took over who was rude and unhelpful. Unfortunately we did not get his name. We were there 7/14-17th sunset.

Beautiful campground with sites by the lake being especially nice. No showers at this campground, but the bathrooms have flush toilets and sinks with running water and are kept very clean. Wonderful place to camp on a gorgeous lake. It's a short walk or drive to the main part of the Lake of the Woods resort where there is a restaurant and store. Highly recommend camping here!
