Very Clean and very nice park rangers. The spots are close to the water. The bathrooms were super clean. We love this spot!

Tidy site was available on time. Pleasant staff greeted us. Even with smoke from fires, we enjoyed our stay.

I stayed in Loop B, Site 27. I booked this site because it was handicap accessible. After arriving, it was clear that a wheelchair cannot get around the site. There is a hill to get to the fire pit which is surrounded by large rocks that made it dangerous for me to start a fire. Also, the picnic table is not for a wheelchair. There is not an extension at the end of the picnic table to be able to eat my meals. The parking platform is skinny. I could not get my wheelchair next to the trailer to even wash my hands. Overall, this site has Zero wheelchair accessibility. There are only 3 handicapped sites at Sunset Campground. In my opinion, that is not enough. Especially when site 27 is not wheelchair friendly at all.

Pretty lake. Very popular though so not much seclusion at the boat dock but it looked like a couple of people parked before the launch spot on the main road and had a nice private areas. We took a dip and it was cool but not freezing. Some small waves due to wind. There were a few nice trails to the north that were easy for running. There were small cabins to the south.

I loved that generators are not permitted to run between 10pm and 8am. Helped me get some peace and quiet so I could sleep.

We always feel safe at Lake of the Woods the camp hosts are on top of any noise or problems. The lake is fabulous everything about it is beautiful. The resort remodel is gorgeous we love walking there from the Sunset campground and having a hamburger and a beer. It’s just sad that it’s getting so crowded wished it was still just our 🤫 secret

We inadvertently booked a non electric site which turned out to great since it had more seclusion than the full electric sites. Great local mountain bike trails through old-growth forest and lava fields. Staff was incredibly friendly.
