We loved our stay here! Our site was so pretty and large - we had lots of room to spread out. We also liked that the campground offered a bottle drop. We were happy to donate our empty cans and bottles to a good cause. Also the boat launch is very well maintained. Our only complaint is the mosquitoes but they are to be expected in the wilderness.
We'll be back for sure!

Our campsite was fine. The table and fire ring were in good shape. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and hiking nearby. There is a lot to do close by.
We were very disappointed, however, at the lack of attention given to the outhouse. The outhouse was clean and stocked with toilet paper when we arrived, but received no attention or service during the remainder of our visit. The morning we left, there was no toilet paper in the outhouse and the floor was littered with toilet paper and there was what appeared to be urine on the floor. With a camp host on site, we expected better.

My family and I have been camping at Waldo for many years and love the memories we have created there. We feeling very lucky have such a gem so close to home. I would give my experience at Islaet a “5” if it weren’t for our experience with host last summer.
