What Guests Are Saying

Columbia River RV Park features a welcoming atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff, particularly highlighting Ash for his exceptional customer service. The park offers convenient amenities like a laundry room and two bathrooms, enhancing the overall experience for guests. However, some concerns include misleading Wi-Fi information, noise from nearby air traffic and roads, and occasional issues with staff interactions, which detracted from the stay for some visitors.

The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, which makes staying here even more comfortable. I really appreciate that there are two bathrooms available, which makes things much more convenient. Another big plus is having a washer and dryer on-site that only guests and residents can use — it feels more private and well-maintained. I also love that it’s close to Marine Drive, where you can see the boats and enjoy the water scenery, which is really nice. Overall, it’s a clean, welcoming, and well-organized RV park. I would definitely recommend it.
Just maybe be more careful with your kiddos for some people drive quickly. Which is not the Rv parks fault is just people who don’t follow rules.

I stayed here for three days. It’s a nice community like atmosphere and it’s a huge place. I recommend calling ahead to book because the park was full when I arrived. Luckily I had a reservation. They don’t accept cash. Laundry room had a few brand new machines and they even had larger washers. Getting around was a little confusing for me but if I spent more time there I could probably figure it out.

If you stay at this RV Park be sure not to stay in number 192. We were blasted and shook by Jets overhead especially early in the morning sometimes 5:00 or 6:00 a.m. there were passenger Jets probably some private jets but the military jets were absolutely horrible. Also the spot we had number 192 was right next to a very busy thoroughfare called Northeast Marine Drive. Semi tractor trailers loud cars motorcycles all kinds of things going on at all times of the day and night.
It just did not feel comfortable to us. It looks like a trailer park. All I can say is we will not ever be going back to the Columbia River RV park.

A couple weeks back we had bad truck problems and got stranded in Portland for two weeks. We came to the Columbia River Park with a three-day reservation and were told they were booked full up for the next month. But we limped in with three days on a Friday which was also Memorial weekend. On Saturday I went to the office to see if there were any cancellations I talked with Ash, she said they did have one an hour ago and was able to find me a week and moved a few other reservations so I did not need to move, it was a great relief as the next week progress on the repairs were slow as it was a major job and my time was running out. I again talked with Ash about getting an extension, it took two days to find us another week with the help of Allie and in the end, it worked out fine. It was a nice park, got a rental car and tried to stress down with the sights. We are coming back again for another three-day stay at the end of summer. Over all this is a nice safe park in a so-so neighborhood still we didn’t feel threatened. Hats off to all!!

I'm giving this campground two stars solely because of Ash in the front office. He was professional, helpful, and genuinely cared about resolving our concerns after several frustrating experiences. Without his customer service, this would have been a one-star review.
Our first issue was with the advertised Wi-Fi. The campground's website clearly states that free Wi-Fi is available, but after checking in we were told by Lexie that it was not included. This was frustrating because it contradicted the information provided on the website.
Unfortunately, our interactions with Lexie only added to our disappointment. During two separate encounters, she came across as rude, condescending, and unwilling to help. One interaction involved a piece of mail that I believed had been delivered to the office. I was told, "This isn't your personal address so you shouldn't expect mail to show up here, and if it did come here, we sent it back." This response was surprising because the campground accepts personal and Amazon packages at the front office, so I didn't think it was unreasonable to have a single envelope containing my RV registration mailed there.
We stayed in Site 87, and another major issue was people constantly cutting through our campsite. We counted at least six different people walking directly through our site, likely because it was near the office. During one incident, I politely asked a man, "Excuse me, could you please stop walking through our site?" He responded by yelling profanities, including "You don't own this campground," followed by additional screaming and insults. After that encounter, we no longer felt safe. Even though that individual eventually left, people continued walking within a few feet of our RV door, making it uncomfortable to relax outside or leave our door open.
Lastly, be aware that the airport noise is constant. Air traffic is frequent, and the Air Force jets are especially loud throughout the day.
Ash's professionalism and willingness to help are the reason this review is two stars instead of one. I truly appreciated his efforts, but the misleading Wi-Fi advertising, poor customer service from another staff member, the lack of privacy and security at our campsite, and the constant aircraft noise made this a stay I would not choose to repeat.
