What Guests Are Saying
Driftwood offers a vibrant camping experience, particularly for offroad enthusiasts, with great access to sand dunes and a friendly camp host who is helpful and engaging. The camping area is generally clean and quiet at night, making it enjoyable for families. However, some campers have noted issues like loud noise, limited shower hours, and maintenance concerns, particularly with the bathrooms.

We love to go every year with our friends. But it is getting tougher to get all of our sites together.

Getting in and around with a big rig is very difficult.
Otherwise it is a great camp site and the host are great.

The site here has some of the best showers.. Silly thing to rate on I know but they matter! Theft here, as well as other sites on the coast have a real theft problem. Increased resources and patrols need to be seriously considered.

Sites are extremely tight. It's set up like a parking lot not slanted parking for easy backing in with a trailer.
Theft is huge! Camp host says to lock everything up. Generators are being stolen. Chain locks are being cut. Ice chests, gas cans, dog, or anything quick to be grabbed. It's happening daily!
We weren't able to camp, showed up and people were in our spots. They moved but we couldn't get in. Size was not what was advertised on the website.
We were able to get a refund, but not 100%.
Very disappointed and will never go again.

We enjoyed that the campground was close to beach access via our quads and side by sides. What was unfortunate is that the campground itself is so crime ridden that we will never go back. We had items stolen from our quads And items stolen from our camping areas, there is a maze of small trails that lead to the campground from the roadway. We believe the thieves have been using those well traveled trails to commit these crimes and unfortunately when speaking with other campers they had been well aware of items being stolen from campers in the area nightly. We had a large family reunion of at this campground, and the taint of criminal activity that everyone knows about, including the camp hosts and law enforcement goes unchecked. In addition the showers were closed when we got there because the token machine was broken and when the camp host advised that the soap dispensers are never filled due to theft, that was the last straw. It’s unfortunate this nice campground has such an apparent history of crime; we will never come back. We enjoyed the dunes and riding was fine.

Camp hosts are hospitable and awesome.
They run a tight and clean place. Everything worked well.
I wish the reservation system would cancel and free up no-show’s and charge a big cancellation fee. Lots of empty sites, but showing booked.
