Driftwood offers a vibrant camping experience, particularly for offroad enthusiasts, with great access to sand dunes and a friendly camp host who is helpful and engaging. Mike & Donnie are great hosts. Keeping the showers and restrooms clean and keeping on top of things like quiet hours! It's the riders. Need to have more presence by law enforcement on the Dunes. Reckless driving and speeding. Lot less regard for safety and respect for other riders. Do they still need to pass certification? Really dangerous with the 900 and 1000cc side by sides out on the sand. Many parents letting underage kids ride without supervision. Even in the campground, kids are riding around and campers trying to maneuver into spaces. We've seen a change as we have be camping at Driftwood for several years as we clean 7 miles of beach for SOLVE. "The Litter Lady"

Awesome place to stay. Clean bathrooms and showers and close location to ride right onto the dunes.

Unless you own a dune buggy you will be like a fish out of water. Very active campground with rail cars driving around. Parking is on pavement parking lot. Beach access is a moderate walk from campground. Seriously, don’t camp there unless you have a dune buggy!

We had a great time riding quads and side by sides in the Florence sand dunes. The showers were open this year which made our stay that much better. A fire burn was enacted half way through our stay but it was dry and understandable.

Great reservation system that reduces errors. Excellent camp host. ATT and Verizon service will go from nothing to tolerable for no reason and for extended periods. Dunes are great. No water RV refills or dump and it’s not posted where to get them (Honeyman CG).
