Eel Creek Campground

This is a great campground for tent camping, with nice private sites. Not as good for pull-through trailers, as those can't make use of the privacy. Excellent dune access.

Based on reviews I thought I was going to get a private spot but our spot was in a field. We made the best of it though. The host didn't do well at regulating quiet time which typically doesn't bother me but there was some sort of altercation at 1AM and cops and an ambulance were involved. This probably could have been prevented if the host did a better job. Other than that, bathrooms were great! The dunes were fantastic! All the other sites looked very private but very small. Cute place.

I absolutely loved Eel Creek campground! It was beautiful and you couldn’t pick a bad spot. They were all very private spots, with some larger for families. Beautiful rhododendron plants all around, exceptionally clean bathroom facilities, and lots of access to water. The check-in process with the host was super easy and the location, you can’t beat it. The campground has direct access to the dunes trails, which were breathtaking. I loved everything about it and will absolutely be back!

Good, clean, safe campground. Everyone was respectfully quiet. Host was responsive and friendly. Dune access short walk away.

The campground is nice. There was a noisy group of about 25 people that partied until 3:30 AM on the 4th of July, keeping the other campers awake. I don't think there was a campground host monitoring things.

Let me start by saying we love the campground overall. We stayed here once before in spot 07/08 and it was a favorite camping trip ever. We stayed in spot 42 this time and it too was a great spot. However the overall experience wasn't great this time. First the men's bathroom was not in service for our loop, so our 12-year old daughter didn't feel comfortable going to the bathroom because drunk men were coming into the bathroom. Definitely not ideal. To top it off there was a group that was yelling and cussing throughout the night and playing loud music. The last time I looked it was 12:30 and no one came around to warn them or anything. Then to top it off the morning we were set to leave we went to start our car to find our battery was dead. While I was trying to get through to roadside service, my wife went to the camp host to see if he could possible jump our car. He had a huge truck. He laughed at my wife and said he doesn't do that and she could ask the other guests. The fact he was unwilling to use his truck to help out was pathetic enough, but to top it off he didn't offer any other sort of help other than to wish us luck in finding someone else to help us. Then what made him a poor excuse of a camp host was the fact that he laughed when he was asked if he could help. So if you enjoy a camp host who isn't helpful and that doesn't keep other guests from disturbing the rest of the campground, feel free to camp here. The nice spots might be enough to make the experience worthwhile. For us it wasn't.
