Eel Creek Campground is a highly praised site known for its beautiful location near the Oregon Dunes and Sieslaw Forest, offering clean, private campsites and friendly hosts. Campers appreciate the access to hiking trails and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and outdoor enthusiasts. While some suggest improvements such as counter space in restrooms and more accessible booking options, the overall experience is marked by cleanliness, privacy, and stunning natural surroundings.

We enjoyed our stay on Aug. 6th. We discovered a new site that we liked. Unfortunately, we discovered this site because of the lack of upkeep in the campground bathrooms. We have been camping at Eel Creek for over 20 years. It was one of our favorite campgrounds. We have mostly stayed in the back loop. However, the last several times the men's restroom toilet has been closed because of ????. Same thing happened last year, but it was repaired. This year there seems to be no urgency to remedy the situation, leaving the closest Men's toilet at least 1/3 of a mile away. Very disappointing. That restroom, during our last stay, ran out of toilet paper was was not properly maintained. Perhaps fires occupied the forest service employees. On a good note, the new fire pits are incredible. Still trying, but disappointed.

This campground is quiet with spacious sites so you feel like you are camping in a forest. There are convenient pathways that allow access to the dunes. We rented a sandboard at the first town north of the campground on Highway 101. Everyone loved sledding down the sand hills.

Overall a nice campground. I didn't see the host checking or cleaning the campsites between being occupied. Our campsite showed lack of attention.

Eel Creek Campground is beautiful! It is easy to get to. The camp sites are well set up and no two are alike. We traveled with our kiddo who said exploring was the best and everything was green and pretty.

I loved the campsite! Nice and large and private. I only was able to stay one night, but plan to return and stay for several nights. The campground was quiet and peaceful - just what I needed and was looking for. I'll be back again and again.

This campground is located in close proximity to multiple lakes and wetlands. Due to this, there can be an abundance of mosquitoes between the months of April and August. Please be prepared for this. |
