Campsites are spacious, somewhat isolated from each other, and the campground has many trails in easy access. The area is also very beautiful. This is one of he better developed campgrounds as well with running water, and regular restrooms. (As opposed to just pit toilets.) I also really appreciate that the Siltcoos Dunes campgrounds are actually run by the Forest Service and not an outside vendor. I've long been opposed to this being contracted out.

The camp site was pretty small and not flat (lots of roots) (site 39). It was tricky to put the tent.
The trail around the campground is nice for a walk before going to bed.

Secluded and clean campground. We had absolute privacy. Went crabbing at South Jetty Dock while there and scored!!

This campground does have 2 bathrooms but one of them was closed. The sign says due to distancing, but it was only the women's and not the men's at one with both being open at the other. It doesn't make sense that there are only 4 restrooms (2 for each gender) and one women's restroom to be closed due to distancing. I call BS, seems likely that there is a maintenance issue with it and feel that the least they could do is place signage which offers the one open, lockable bathroom as an all gender restroom, instead of being only for men. As there are no other amenities within the park, it would have been nice if these issues had been cleared up or handled differently. Beautiful park but campsites are set up a bit wonky as far as placement/accessibility and many are too close together with some of the sites having hardly enough room for a small tent while others are the size of three of the small ones put together. Activities in the area include the Florence Family Fun Center with sand dune rides, bumper boats, go carts, and mini-golf which was a ton of fun with pretty reasonable prices.

Campsites were close together, but separated by vegetation making them comfortably private. The bathrooms were clean and stocked (TP) and the camp host was helpful and friendly. All good at this campground. Great hikes close to the beach with lots of opportunities for water sports in the surrounding lakes. Florence is a treat and not too far away. Great campground, we will return!
