Quiet little campground with parking pads that were quite level. The camp host was helpful and friendly when needed. With a national Senior Pass the price was right at $19/night.
On the not-so-wonderful side, the lagoon that circles the campground is mostly inaccessible and, in August at lease, really a swamp or bog as it transitions form a oxbow lake to a meadow, aided by nutria and an invasive swamp grass from the Amazon.
As I mentioned at the top, the campground was quiet and peaceful.

Love the Lagoon hike. Saw a beaver swim under the boardwalk.

This is my favorite campground on the coast! The hosts are nice and you really don't see them. No mico managing. The spots are left a little wild. The berry picking was amazing this time. Lots of pull through spots for the bigger trailers. Some of the actual pit spaces and tent areas are quite small but big enough for a group to crowd in. We will definitely be going back! The kayaking from lodge pole days area is amazing. You gotta ride down the kayak chute at the dam. It's a smile!

The first night was ok. It seemed like the grounds and bathrooms were sub standard but at least is was quiet. On our second night there was a new group camping 3 camps over . This group was loud and obnoxious until past 3 am. Pure white trash with no consideration for other campers. We never saw a camp host the entire trip?

Good campsite. Far enough away from the dunes so you don’t hear much of the motor noise, but close enough so you can still do that if you want.

I really enjoyed the campground host, who was very friendly. The campground has a great trail that winds around campsites and eventually heads to the ocean. Such a nice walk.
