What Guests Are Saying
South Jetty Sand Camping offers a memorable outdoor experience, with proximity to both the beach and dunes, making it ideal for exploration and relaxation by the fire. Reviewers enjoyed the clean environment and the fun atmosphere, especially for those with off-road vehicles. However, some concerns were raised about navigating the trails, particularly regarding high water and soft sand, which could pose challenges for less experienced campers.

We reserve site number five and we’re disappointed and where it was located due to a lot of soft sand to drive over before reaching site and it was difficult to find… Enjoyed our experience when they fellow camper allowed us to camp on the east side of his area… We were not experienced at driving our vehicles out into the sand so we used our ATVs which we wanted to use anyway to ferry our equipment and tent to the site. We very much enjoyed watching other folks using their sand toys from our campsite, including us being able to go out on the beach and run our dog

We stayed at camp spot #2. This was a perfect spot for us! Hauling a 20' trailer behind our jeep and another friend had a jeep and there was plenty of room in the camp spot. For our first time here, we had a wonderful time! Only thing to watch out for were the mosquitos!! They were bad! the bathrooms at the staging area were clean and stocked. Being right on the sand trail was great! The people before us left alot of garbage, so we did have to clean up quite a bit of cans, bottles etc.. We plan on coming back every year!

We stayed at campsite 1 and absolutely loved it. Direct access to riding on the dunes and a quick 1/2 mile walk to the ocean. We drove an expedition and had no trouble accessing our site as others have complained about. Just do your research and you won’t be disappointed. We prefer boon-docking so this campsite was more than we expected with gates that close from 10pm-6am, bathrooms with running water & flush toilets, plus the campground host is right outside the bathrooms which was about 1/4 mile or less from our site. It was quiet and clean but we also stayed Mon-Thurs. Would definitely stay here again!
