Susan Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, spacious campsites, and excellent access to the Umpqua River for various outdoor activities. However, there were concerns about recent health issues related to water contamination and the absence of firewood sales, which disappointed some campers.

Susan Creek is one of the most beautiful and cleanest campgrounds I have experienced. Paula, the most wonderful camp host, was constantly seen out cleaning and tending to the sites. I can't wait to return.

I love this campground for its location, size, site cleanliness and always excellent and reliable camp host. It’s also located near so many beautiful hikes, despite all of the burn areas from a massive forest fire a few years ago. I will definitely return each year unless it becomes so popular that getting a reservation becomes impossible 😀

This is a well-maintained campground with excellent facilities: bathrooms, showers, water faucets, waste disposal and garbage bins, even a recycling box. Because the campground is at the edge of a recent burn, it is often easy to get a reservation. Fragrant elderberries were blooming in May. Watch out for poison oak along the river trail!

Very well kept park. Clean restrooms. Most sites are well spaced apart. Lots of hiking opportunities without driving anywhere. Walk from the campground to the day use area and branch off to Susan Creek Falls, Tioga Bridge and beyond that access the North Umpqua Trail that leads many miles in both directions. Due to the massive wildfire several years back, some areas are still closed, but crews are working (chainsaw noise during the day) to remove hazards. This was our second stay at Susan Creek campground. Will definitely visit again.
