What Guests Are Saying

Susan Creek Campground is highly praised for its beautiful, well-maintained sites, clean facilities, and friendly camp hosts. Many visitors enjoyed the serene atmosphere, spacious campsites, and excellent access to the Umpqua River for various outdoor activities. However, there were concerns about recent health issues related to water contamination and the absence of firewood sales, which disappointed some campers.

Campsites are clean. The restrooms and showers are exceptionally clean. Everything is working as it should. Staff refines territory with rakes after every customer blazing fast. Fireplaces are equipped with weatherproof compartments, so firewood stays warm and dry. Firewood is good and dry ($5 for the bundle, cash only). Spacing between sites could be larger, but overall very very good.

Great camp site! Lots of room in your sites we had a tent site and arrived that day without reservation. Easy reservations just called and got it! Host was nice and bathrooms clean! We had a nice trail to the river from our site. Would stay again!

Really nice campground. Large somewhat private spots. Many spots backing up to the river which was really nice, we didn’t swim but multiple areas to get down to the river. Bathroom and showers were as previous reviews have said are extremely clean. One camper was letting their dog bark constantly which was a bit of downer but that’s camping life. I would highly recommend hiked 2 short hikes to waterfalls. Due to fires some other waterfall hikes were closed but again seems to be the way it goes these days unfortunately. I was surprised that they did let you have a fire in your campsite and wood was reasonable priced. We will for sure come back.

The camp sites were very clean and spacious. The showers and bathrooms were also clean and in good shape. We enjoyed the hikes to the falls and the river. There were plenty of water and trash locations for campers and the trash cans were very large. The only thing I would say is to take note of which side the camp space is on, if you have a trailer make sure it’s on the same side as your trailer door, mine was on the opposite side (passenger side) so I ended up having to walking around my trailer every time to get to the table and fire ring, lesson learned. Overall the camp ground was very nice, I’ll be coming back next year.
