What Guests Are Saying
Lepage Park offers a pleasant camping experience with well-maintained facilities, friendly staff, and scenic views along the river. While some guests noted issues like gravel sites instead of grass and occasional water outages, the overall cleanliness and safety of the park were appreciated. It's a convenient stop for travelers, although nearby noise from traffic and trains can be a minor drawback.

We had a nice spot right on the John Day River, excellent view. Clean park, friendly workers. Downside, I84 noise, boat noise and it was obscenely hot. Great for a night or two.

Easy on and off freeway.
This is once again a Corp of Engineers campground with great lay out. Right on the John Day River (where it meets the Columbia River).
They’ve planted some trees that will provide shade in a few years.
Pit toilets, we had electric and water at our site.

Your website was not very helpful, need to make it so us idiots can program a set date stay. Nice camp hosts, on our way back we were too late in booking a site. Nice area, could use a few more trees, although it was pleasant.

Have travelled Hwy 97 over 50 times in the last 21 years - Don't know why we never took the short detour to stay in this wonderful park. Prices are reasonable (especially with Senior Pass). It's small, but try to reserve sites 1 - 8, which are pull-through and right on the rivers edge. The other back-in sites are ok, but most longer rigs will have to un-hook. Flush restroom and shower is a medium walk over to the day-use section, but nice. Only a vault toilet in the RV area, but one of the cleanest I've ever seen! No charge for our friend's extra vehicle - No charge for docking your boat overnight - give me a break! Nobody offers that. Nice safe swim area. Big grassy day use are with cabanas. Slight noise from the trains and even a little bit from trucks on the bridge, but not bothersome in RV. Caution - it can be plenty hot, and plenty windy, but that's just the Gorge. We loved it, and will stay again! Pickup and 21ft trailer.

The shade trees have been removed and new trees re-planted. No shade for a few more years. The pit toilet was clean but needed to be pumped.
