What Guests Are Saying
Driftwood Campground offers stunning views of the lake and mountains, with spacious and clean campsites. Camp hosts are praised for their helpfulness, and the campground provides great access to activities like paddleboarding and hiking. While some campsites are on steep terrain and could use maintenance, overall, the area is peaceful with beautiful natural surroundings.

We love this campground. The proximity to the lake and the surrounding Mountain View’s are stunning. A huge shout out to the camp host, Drea. What a fantastic person to have at the campground. Also loved the little general store/marina. Such a great vibe.

Campgrounds are dust bowls and could be so much nicer with some maintenance work.

It's a bit of a drive but the lake was wonderful, perfect size for paddleboarding. Campsite was large, private, and clean with a view of the lake. The only problem was our neighbor somehow thought it was ok to have a fire, during restrictions and high wind which was crazy. They put it out by the time we went to bed so maybe the host noticed and said something. I don't think people on the west side of the mountains realize how serious the fire danger is over here, or maybe there is not enough signage at the campground.

We were in campsite #1 for the first 2 nights. It's nice because it's close to the Tam McArthur trailhead so if you have permits to hike the trail that's convenient. The trailhead is really busy though so there was a bit of noise in the mornings from hikers parking and getting ready to go. Campsite #1 doesn't really have beachfront, you have to walk a ways through some rocks and little trees to get to the lake but there is a nice little SUP launch when you get there. The last night we were in campsite #5 which has a nice large flat area for parking an RV and it has great flat tent areas closer to the beach. There is great beach access here and good shade too. The only thing is, there is a small parking area across the road from the campsite that people use as trailhead parking for the Little Three Creeks Lake trail, so it's not very private in the mornings when the hikers show up. I didn't see a camp host the entire time we were there but someone did come and clean the restrooms and empty the garbage cans. Bugs were not bad at all! Was there July 30 - Aug 2nd. No cell service in camp but if you walk up the Tam or Little 3 Creeks trails a bit you can get a signal. Beautiful place!

Lovely campground on the banks of the lake. Large, private campsites. Clean, well-stocked pit toilet. Great access to lake and hiking trails.

It was a great campsite with lake side sightline. Fire pit was also nice.

Our site (#15) was quiet and spacious and had good access to the lake for swimming. The site is on a steep hill that levels off near the bottom. However, none of the tent sites were perfectly level... but they were tolerable. The picnic table is also not level, and one side is buried into the ground a bit. There is room for at least two cars at this site on the top of the hill. The outhouse was well maintained and clean and the campground host was very nice.

Lake is great. Not too crowded. Lots of paddle boards and small boats. Campsites are always the best. Hiking, fishing and camping here is our favorite.
