The site was very clean and I saw individuals coming often to check and clean the toilets. I missed seeing a camp host but everyone that camped at Pioneer Ford were respectful and left the campsites clean. It was sad to see reserved sites vacant because people changing their minds but it is what it is.

It's everything you can expect from a central Oregon campground, it's easy to see why reservations are a must for a summer weekend spot. What made my latest visit so amazing (your experience may differ) was a weasel chased a chipmunk though my campsite and right over my sleeping dog in the middle of the day. Thought it was a squirrel at first, but after watching it watching me from up a tree for a second, twern't no squirrel at all! (See pic)

Nice campground on the beautiful Metolius river. Private spot with plenty of room and shade. Reasonably clean bathrooms and clean sites. Worth coming back to camp.

There is no way to determine from the map which side of the site driveway the table and fire pit are on. Our site was on the opposite side of our trailer door and awning.

We stayed in site 9. Note that it was tent only, no way to drive in car, which worked out fine for us. Beautiful setting beside river. Some shade from trees. Quiet campsite. Large site with 2 picnic tables and fireplace with grill top.

Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- Reserved sites must be occupied by noon the day after arrival to avoid forfeiture.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- Inspect and clean your packs, equipment, and tires to prevent invasive species.
- Camping is limited to 14 consecutive days at one site and 28 days total in a year.
- Generators cannot be used from 10 PM to 7 AM; battery-powered devices are allowed.
Vehicles & parking
- One RV with a tow vehicle or one vehicle per tent site is allowed; extra vehicles incur a nightly fee.
Fires & fuel
- Campfires and charcoal fires may be restricted during hot, dry weather conditions.
- To protect forests, do not move firewood; obtain it near your camping destination.
