What Guests Are Saying
Pioneer Ford Campground is a beautiful, peaceful site with great river access, clean facilities, and respectful guests. Campers appreciate the large, private sites, gorgeous hiking trails, and the serene atmosphere, especially mid-week. While there are occasional issues with water availability and privacy between sites, the friendly camp host and natural surroundings make it a favorite destination for relaxation and fishing.

The campsites and restrooms were clean and the camp host was friendly. There is a nice trail along both sides of the river. There I don't do catch and releasing fishing but there were several people in the campground who do and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We camped 5 days leaving the 3rd. The fire was burning on the other side of Green Ridge. Thank you to all the Fire Fighters and volunteers for saving the Metolius area, one of our most favorite spots in Oregon.

This is a beautiful campground with sites right next to the river. Sites are not too close together.

Nice campground and sites along river nice. Others have almost no where to set up tent. Reservation system really needs improvement as there were cancellations along river sites but no way to book them the day of.

Beautiful large site near the water. Lots of shade and access to the river. Great family atmosphere and lots of things to do near by.

It would have been nice if we knew before hand that the camp was without water. A line had broke and we were not informed until we were set up. The Deschutes Recreation that services the camp grounds was not very good at keeping us informed on the lack of water. Had to wait 5 days before we finally got water. The camp host lacked skills in dealing with the public. This is the second year that the Deschutes Recreation service has taken care of the campgrounds. We are not impressed with how they conducted their duties. Next year will be our 20th year that we will be staying at Pioneer Ford. We hope that the experience with the service agency is better.

Great camping spots along the river with plenty of space between sites. There is running water and the pit toilets are clean. Hiking trails are easily accessible from the end of the loop road.
