Really beautiful place to camp. Only down sides were camp is over grown and food wrappers were in our site as well. Also had a bit of a run in with the camp host when he approached our camp saying we obviously didn’t read the pamphlet because we parked in the wrong area. We later went on a walk and saw other site numbers had a pamphlet attached to them and ours did not when we arrived. He could of just politely asked us to move, we obviously didn’t mean to do anything wrong. He then stared us down a few other times during our stay. Pretty unwelcoming

Stayed in group site #11. Very spacious 4 tent pads- but all area around tent pads very overgrown and campsites very dirty. Bring clippers for overgrown sticker bushes if you've got a tent bigger than 4 person, and prepare to do alot of garbage cleanup. Lots of garbage left on ground, bbqs super dirty & full of ash, lots of trash (metal roasting sticks, tons of cigarettes, bottle caps) left in campfire ring. Creek area is beautiful. Campground has a lot of potential. We mentioned to hosts and comment was there isn't enough time. Cleaning and dumping ash (normal duty) ? I did witness hosts taking firewood that was left in an empty campsite. Wonder if there was a good reason for that? Hopefully they weren't just taking it for their site, but it really looked as if that is what was going on. So ... there was time for THAT in between campers. Hmmm. I know we left our site way better than we found it -- but I was unwilling to touch some of the trash left (toliet paper and moldy kids stuffed animal) Next time I'll bring gloves. Verizon had a decent signal for cell service. Honestly would have been a favorite new camp area if it was just kept up better. When we asked about trail to creek and was told it was "rustic". This meant extremely overgrown the entire path. We made it but didn't understand WHY nothing is kept up during peak camping season?
We brought 2 small dogs. Dogs need to be on leash 100% here. We did get spoke to from host about them needing to be on leash day 1, when we were getting set up, and made sure we had them leashed all the time after that. If you have pets be sure the host will patrol in his golf cart for dogs on leash.

The camp host was incredibly rude and unwelcoming, we love this place but that angry man left a bad taste in our mouth.

I like this campground a lot, good location, nice and quiet, lovely forest. It is a bit of a shame though that there is not more up keep, like mowing and brush trimming. A bit of time spent with the right equipment would add a lot the place. I suggest that a mower be provided for the use of the camp host or someone. It would make a huge difference to the enjoyment and look of the grounds. I will camp there again.
