The camp host kept accusing us of so many different things. He was fine until he noticed that my kids are black and Hispanic. After that he would stop and stare and watch us even at night. Making it uncomfortable to use the bathroom. We would ask for toilet paper and he refused but other sites would ask and he would do it. He is very unprofessional.

Beautiful recreation area. Sites 28-30 are just cut into a wall of blackberry bushes, try not book these sites.

The blue Jays where feasting on all the wild berries at the campground, I'm pretty sure they saw my tent as a target and tried to repaint it😄. Take extra tarps or coverings to prevent the bluejays from painting your equipment.

Hosts were amazing. Site was clean. Beautiful location next to the creek. The bathrooms need signs reminding users to put the lid(s) down. We went first week in August, thimbleberries were end of life but there were some red huckleberries, salal, and blackberries available. Oregon grape if that's to your liking. Halfway through, campfires were banned due to fire risk. The nearby trail was gorgeous, going through lush riparian zones and a slight view at the top. Parts of the trail are degraded, so tread with caution. 2.1 miles to summit.
Creek, despite being vicariously low, had several spots deep enough for wading and swimming.
Mosquitoes weren't too bad, but definitely recommend bringing some picardin and Citronella oil.

Our camp host David was so friendly and accommodating. He and his wife were so helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the campground itself. Cheers to them for making our summer camping safe and family friendly!

We love early season camping at Whittaker Creek. The addition of reservations makes the area feel safer. I think the entire campground should be reservation only.

It is a nice campground with some really cool camp spots( we drove up and camped in our tents)It is really so beautiful there. We went mon-wed so it wasn’t crowded at all and very peaceful . The camp hosts were awesome even got up to help me jump start my car ) which I am sure is not in their job description. Even the public restrooms were above par compared to other campgrounds.Since it wasn’t crowded we were
Able to move to a spot we liked better than the one we reserved and the hosts were kind and helpful about that too. We chose space #23 that had sun and shade , minimal bugsz, a knotty hobbit village looking mess of tree roots that 5 trees grew from and a path that went out to water about ankle deep that got deeper the further I followed it . We used roller skates and blades to skate on the road that goes through the campground and did some exploring checking out the other campsites. The other campers were considerate, quiet m, friendly and helpful. We had a good experience and made some great memories!

First time camping here, although my experience was very good and I enjoyed camping, my site was fine, the entire campground could really use a bit of trimming, mowing and such. Other than that, it was great, the hosts were very friendly and helpful.
