What Guests Are Saying
Buckaloons campground offers a beautiful, clean, and spacious environment with large campsites and well-maintained restrooms. Visitors appreciate the friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, with access to outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking. Some minor issues, such as limited hot water in showers and a need for maintenance on picnic tables and fire pits, were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return.

We loved the campground. We had reservations, so check-in and check-out were easy. We loved our campsite. Many of the campsites are really large, and it was easy to back our 32' camper into the site. We have a senior lifetime America the Beautiful pass, so we had a nice discount for our stay. There wasn't any firewood for sale at the campground, but there are plenty of places around that are willing to sell some.
The only downside was that it was October, and although it wasn't really cold outside, the shower house was not heated, so taking a shower was a goosebump experience.
The bottom line is that we will go back again, even if it is chilly outside. We had an electric site, but there were also a lot of "primitive" sites and they were really nice looking sites.

Had a great time while camping. Some of the sites are closed in a bit for larger campers/RV’s and need to be trimmed to prevent scratching on roof or sides.
The showers are clean but the hot water is really only warm at best, it would be great to turn up the heat on the instant hot water heaters.
