What Guests Are Saying
Buckaloons campground offers a beautiful, clean, and spacious environment with large campsites and well-maintained restrooms. Visitors appreciate the friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, with access to outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking. Some minor issues, such as limited hot water in showers and a need for maintenance on picnic tables and fire pits, were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return.

We had the large group site and it was plenty big enough for our group to stay and stretch out. There was a bathroom and water right next to us so it was super convenient. They had ice on site for $2 and the showers were nice and hot. We kayaked from the Dam to camp and it was so nice after a 7 hour day to get out right at camp. The park host was a super nice guy. We plan to make this a yearly trip!

I did not know you were providing a private site to inform you of our opinion on the next page. Our opinion does not need to be public. Please transfer this to the private review. We have been coming here for over 20 years. We enjoy the location, privacy of sites, the river and access to Warren. But a couple of things were really disappointing this visit. There was no hot water in the showers. No sign outside informing you of this beforehand. We were told the next day that Culligan was to change/add the tanks but didn't and they would probably be there on Monday. This is Friday. Secondly, on departure when we are dumping our camper tanks, we went to grab the hose for cleaning and there wasn't one. This is a first for us. The grounds worker offered us a hose but there was no connector on the end of the water pipe. Lastly, I know we are camping in the woods. But I wish there would be more gravel at the sites to alleviate the abundance of mud. Also, there were trees cut down all over the sites. Not a very scenic sight and could be a danger to kids climbing on them. Is this supposed to be free firewood? The logs were huge. On the plus side, we will be coming again for the reasons I noted. But we definitely don't plan on coming again in May as the hot showers and dump site were not provided as advertised.

Beautiful and peaceful. Pet friendly. Host was very nice a pleasant to talk to. One downfall is that the ticks were terrible for our puppies :(
