What Guests Are Saying
Buckaloons campground offers a beautiful, clean, and spacious environment with large campsites and well-maintained restrooms. Visitors appreciate the friendly hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, with access to outdoor activities like canoeing and kayaking. Some minor issues, such as limited hot water in showers and a need for maintenance on picnic tables and fire pits, were noted, but overall, guests enjoyed their stay and plan to return.

We only needed 30 amp power but what we got wasn’t enough to run our ac or heat for very long. We actually went and bought a new thermostat while there for $126, thinking that was the problem. We were very upset when we figured out the problem and of course couldn’t return the thermostat. Also did not like the fact that there wasn’t water hookups at the sites. The site was almost too small for our camper and truck to fit in.

Quieter campground with fairly enclosed sites. It’s tucked into the forest which we loved. There are electric hookups, potable water, and free showers and toilets.

Great campground! I love state parks campgrounds that have the campsites nestled in among the trees. The location is great - so close to beautiful hiking and the dam and downtown Warren. We went out to eat at the very close-by Forester Restaurant and Tavern (food was great). I would suggest building one or more shower houses in amongst the camp sites. The only serious negative would be the sandy/dirt that was just distributed throughout all of the sites - I'm still cleaning muddy footprints out of my motorhome. It was nice that the site was very level and cleared of debris, but why did you use dirt/sand? Even mulch would have been nicer. Thanks for a great weekend!

We stayed at Buckaloons midweek, so the campground wasn't full. It was very quiet and peaceful and provided at good jumping off point for many of the hiking trails in the Allegheny National Forest. The bathrooms and shower area were clean and nice.
