What Guests Are Saying
Kiasutha campground offers a beautiful natural setting with spacious campsites and friendly, helpful staff, making it a favorite among repeat visitors. Many families appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, access to water activities, and the well-maintained grounds, despite some concerns about noise from other campers. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities and campground roads that need attention to enhance the overall experience.

Although the campsites and location are ideal for a relaxing camp experience, the amenities need serious attention! The showers are in a sad state of disrepair…only 2 of the 4 showers were working, and the method of getting hot water is intimidating (you must step OUTSIDE the shower stall to continue getting hot water). We were there 2 days after a strong thunderstorm had gone through, and there were no showers or bathrooms for 4 days due to loss of power. The Porta Potties provided were dirty and OVERFLOWING!!! Not a good experience this year, and we have been coming here for 30+ years!!

July camping trip was a disater: NO electric NO bathrooms NO camp host or camp manager to be found. Had to drive to other camp ground (15 miles away) for water. Other cam ground for shower and toilet. I understand there was a storm a week before we came but never informed about the problems. Been going there for 3 years now. Not sure if it will happen again. We were there in May and June this year also. Each time our site was never cleaned up and fire pit was always full. A big disappointment this year. Especially July. I would hope they would refund us for that trip due to the fact of not having the amenities we paid for.

We made our reservation six months ahead of time we received 3 emails reminding us of our reservation, but not once did anybody send us an email telling us that there was no water or bathroom facilities near our campsite which would have been nice. We were there with 10 people including five children.. The campground was not mowed anywhere basically and just in poor condition. This was our 45th year of coming there. I'm sure you could verify. On a positive thing I can say about it is the camp host were very nice and accommodating an older man and woman and in a crisis because a small tornado or microburst hit the campground many many trees came down and were taken care of by the community I'm guessing firefighters and other volunteers but the camp host Ken was very kind and helpful.I'm not sure what his wife's name was, they checked to make sure everybody was safe and do what they could to take care of people. I believe it was one of their 1st times as camp hosts, and for everything that was thrown at them they did very well

We arrived the day of the tornado on July 20th. After a fallen tree nearly killed a handful of us and we had to flee our campsite for the night. We thought the trip was a bust and we should just be grateful to be alive and head back home, BUT the crew at Kiasutha (and a lot of the surrounding area) cleared up our campsite by the next afternoon, allowing us to resume our trip as usual (for the most part haha), and we had an absolute blast swimming/floating on the reservoir for the rest of the weekend. Thank you to Vicky and everyone else that helped keep us informed and comfortable after the storm!

I love this location and our site was beautiful and right by the water, so I can't complain too much, HOWEVER - the bathroom facilities were a nightmare. 3/4 stalls were out of order at MULTIPLE BUILDINGS and the showers were BAD, not clean, doors wouldn't shut and turning the water on was a unique experience. It's not ideal if you are tent camping without alternative options. Something to keep in mind until the bathrooms get some much needed updates.

Bathrooms were not taken care of. Never any toilet paper and they were dirty.

Kiasutha is a beautiful, quiet campground and allows us to not be stacked on top of each other. Plenty of shade and the water sites are easily accessible. Our only complaint is the shower house and bathrooms. Two of the 3 toilets (female) were out of order all week and the only one accessible was actually a urinal. The shower house is gross-one shower unusable, and the showers were not very clean. If you try to shower at night, it will most likely be cold! The shower heads were so strong they hurt! Please fix up the shower house and restrooms!
