What Guests Are Saying
Kiasutha campground offers a beautiful natural setting with spacious campsites and friendly, helpful staff, making it a favorite among repeat visitors. Many families appreciate the peaceful atmosphere, access to water activities, and the well-maintained grounds, despite some concerns about noise from other campers. However, there are ongoing issues with restroom facilities and campground roads that need attention to enhance the overall experience.

Just a shame that the water was so low, but still a good time to paddle

Nice to see they put down some limestone.
Maybe they can get some for Redbridge also.
They had to close restroom next to camp site because of a issue. We all know what this means probably won’t fix it just like the restroom at boat lunch. Not sure if this is US Forest or Allegheny Site Management responsibility. It just needs fixed.

Everything was great except for the shower house and restrooms. One of the showers in the men's side had no hot water and two on the women's side did not. And all of the outlets in the shower house and restrooms did not work or were disconnected.
It was also annoying that our neighbor for the weekend ran a generator 24/7 while they're there. Totally disturbed the peace and quiet of the woods!
Other than that, we had a wonderful time. we will be back!

This campground is beautiful. Unfortunately, it was not managed well at all this summer. We visited on 3 different occasions, for a total of 25 days. Each time we were stunned by the noise throughout the campground. Campers ran generators 24/7, with hosts not doing rounds to ensure quiet hours were followed. The generators alone were frustrating, but what blew my mind is that guests actually ran construction generators. You could hear them at the opposite end of the campground. We had tent campers with us for 5 days and they were kept awake by the generators for their whole stay. If you are a tent camper I would not recommend. If you are looking for a quiet experience in nature, this is NOT the place to stay.

The campground is not well taken care of! Trees need to be trimmed and they had shut down some bathrooms ! This is a beautiful place but they need to do some work !!

We had a great time, ended up staying an extra night!
Site 86 looks bigger in the picture than it actually is. It's more of a pull through knoll, most of it is graveled. It's on a slight grade so tents my not be perfectly level. We managed to fit everything though. It has a better fire ring with adjustable height cooking grate.
Theres a water faucet across the street. The water was good. The bathroom is about a site away and around the corner. It was clean throughout the weekend.
Ice was $2 a bag. Firewood was $10 for 12 pieces. Some of it was wet. Bring a splitting axe, get the big chunks.
Verizon gets 3 bars on the beach, but reduces to 1 bar as you move up the hill to this site.
Thanks for a good weekend.

I have been camping at Kiasutha since I was a baby. I am now 30 years old and my family and I still come here every summer. It’s my absolute favorite!!! The only downside is the showers and bathrooms, but since we have a camper with a bathroom now it doesn’t affect me anymore. This place is so beautiful and I get so excited to come every year, now I get to share this place with my kids who love it just as much as I always have!

We have been coming to Kiasutha for several years. Nothing is ever done to improve this 45 year old campground. The camp host try to keep it clean but everything is broken. They started updating electric 3-4 years ago but never finished. There are piles of stone everywhere but not put on the sites so most are muddy when it rains. We only come here because our kids like being able to ride their bikes to swimming area. Directly across reservoir is Red Bridge campground which is great. Operated by same management company. Clean and well maintained. But no swimming area. It’s a shame the way our tax dollars are wasted

Camped site 74. Bathroom in that area very clean. Site was large and well kept. Lots of stones however. Bathhouse serious need of updating. Maybe even another bathhouse added. Love kiasutha though for beach and boat launch.
