Visitors enjoy the proximity to fun local activities, hiking trails, and clean facilities, making it an ideal place for a relaxed getaway. Some concerns include noise from loud music and generators, as well as issues with reservation management and accessibility to the shoreline, but overall, guests look forward to returning.

The campground, vault toilets and shower houses were kept exceptionally clean and done daily. The couple in charge of doing all of these responsibilities do a remarkable job.
The shower houses were a bit cool and the water didn’t get very hot. But again, they were kept very clean.
We had no cell service at all, without driving almost back to Kane. People with Verizon did have some cell service. But with Consumer cellular we had none.
The water was high from rain, so fishing was poor.
It was a peaceful week . We would certainly go back again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin, especially during the fall season. The autumn colors surrounding us were truly breathtaking and added a magnificent bonus to the experience.
The cabin itself was very clean and stocked with basic supplies, which made our stay comfortable and convenient. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bathroom had running water with a hot water option, so we never needed to use the campground’s restrooms. While the mattresses were adequate, do note that you’ll need to bring your own sheets and pillows.
There’s an inverter in the cabin, but with the chilly fall nights, we ended up using our own heater to stay warm; we’re not sure the inverter alone would have been enough. Also, it’s worth mentioning that we didn’t get any cell signal during our stay. The nearest town is about 10 miles away, so it’s good to plan ahead and bring all essentials.
Overall, it was a wonderful time with family, and we’d definitely consider going back!

This is our favorite campground for travel-trailer camping in the Allegheny National Forest and one of our favorites overall in the PA/NY area. We try to stay at least once per season. Sites typically are well-shaded and many are quite large. There are some gorgeous sites right on the water as well. We have found this to be a much quieter, laid-back campground that Kiasutha directly across the reservoir. Paddling here is excellent. For bicyclists, the ever-expanding Kinzua Valley Trail is handy, and the awesome Jakes Rocks mountain bike trail network is a short drive away. There is plenty of hiking nearby as well -- the Morrison Trail is excellent, and you can jump on the North Country Trail right from the campground if you are so inclined.

Beautiful, campground with dense foliage between sites. Only a few sites are full hook-up so make your plans and reserve early. Campground is busy, noisy and smoky on the weekend but quiet and sparsely populated mid-week, even in August. Hosts do a nice job taking care of the campground and are responsive to issues reported.
