A temporary closure will be enforced during operations, restricting public access to the project area, including the Tracy Ridge Trail System, a section of the North Country National Scenic Trail, and the Handsome Lake and Hopewell boat-to campgrounds. Vary nice and clean , we stayed in aspen loop with electric , nice size sites , the other loops are right on the water seemed nice too !Note , no cell phone or over the air TV service!

Firewood was over priced. The hosts weren’t much help ( trying to get firewood and ice, not giving us our campers pass ), better off to get it from locals along the road. Our campsite was pretty much a swamp. Maintenance Workers weren’t very nice. Over crowed boat launch. Kinzua bridge was pretty cool. Wasn’t a very good destination to waste my vacation at. But others may have a different experience.

Though lacking in the mice dancing in the rafters, the mosquitoes and biting flies made sitting by the fire torture, let alone trying to cook. In Maryland, especially in the costal parks, they spray/fog for ticks and mosquitoes once or twice a week depending on insect levels. That was the only bad thing about the whole trip.

I’ve had many trips to Willow Bay and this one was disappointing. I arrived a few minutes prior to checkin at 2 PM and the person in the booth instructed me to just go setup because no one was there who could check me in. I went to my cabin and the door was locked, long story short I finally received my key at 6:45 PM. The rest of my 4 day stay was pretty much the same way, no one in the booth for ice or firewood.

From the south, take PA-321 North to PA-346 and turn left. Continue to the campground on the left.
