A temporary closure will be enforced during operations, restricting public access to the project area, including the Tracy Ridge Trail System, a section of the North Country National Scenic Trail, and the Handsome Lake and Hopewell boat-to campgrounds. Beautiful campground, very remote. We spent 4 days here in the fall and were looking forward to the waterfront site we reserved. Wish someone would've mentioned they drain the lake starting in September until the spring, instead of waterfront we camped at the edge of a huge mud pit. We still made the best of it & had a relaxing few days. Other than that I would definitely return during another season.

We enjoyed our time camping at Willow Bay. The only things that is extremely frustrating with Recreation.gov is that you CANNOT trust the information provided for each camp site. We stayed in site 56 in the Hemlock Loop. Online it says it is a 55 foot site, however, we barely got our 40 foot trailer in there. We have found that most sites info is typically off. Other than the info being incorrect, we liked our spot. It was fairly private, the campground was pretty quiet, very scenic. If you go in the fall, you can walk out on Willow Bay where there is typically water, so it is neat to see it when the water is really low.

On the way to Bradford , Marilla bridges trail was very beautiful and super easy with small kids .
Also Rock city park is super fun and beautiful

From Bradford, travel west on PA-346 for 16 miles. Willow Bay is located just south of the Pennsylvania-New York border. Follow signs to the Allegheny Reservoir and the campground.
From the south, take PA-321 North to PA-346 and turn left. Continue to the campground on the left.
