This is our go-to campground if we want a quick weekend trip and it never disappoints. We like to walk up the hill to the dam and check things out, and there are a lot of things nearby in the area to see and do. The bathrooms are very clean for campground bathrooms, and we typically just shower in them instead of in our RV. The only bad thing we’ve noticed is that sometimes, particularly on holiday weekends, the campground owners at the campground next door can get loud and there isn’t much that the campground hosts can do about it since it’s outside of the campground. Choose spots away from that fence area.

Other than weather, which is out of your control, we enjoyed our annual stay with friends. With all the rain, we are grateful for the hard work to keep all of us campers safe.

We were there in early May on a non-electric site. Nice facilities, very clean, close to the Great Allegheny Passage trail and downtown Confluence. We would have rated it higher, but it was very buggy. Also close to Fallingwater, if you would like to visit there. Our mapping application took us by the entrance to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle SP. We were towing a 28 foot trailer, and found the other route in, Rte 281, an easier drive.

Site needs work to bring it more level very uneven and hard to find level areas for tent and shelter. Fire pit ring so high need to stand over fire to enjoy heat, table so heavy to move away from fire pit so as to use it within shelter and is in poor condition to use complete table top as it is bowed up on one end.

We enjoyed our 11-day stay at the Outflow. The rangers were very friendly and present throughout our stay. The restrooms were kept clean and the camp sites and grounds were well maintained. Although we were not able to get in much fishing due to high water, we enjoyed bike rides on the beautiful trail, visited Ohiopyle, made many trips to the Outflow Soft Freeze and dined at several restaurants up on route 40. We are looking forward to our next trip.

the outflow got a 3 because of the weather. You can't control that. It is our favorite place to go so we will always go there any day! Love it there'

Campground is across the street from the GAP. There are some sites with electric and water, but most do not have that. Rather open sites, with little screening. There are shade trees, but the sites are still fairly sunny. There is a stand that will recharge cell phones, not sure about e -bike batteries. The town is within walking or biking distance of the campground.
