The electric hook up was very poor with the breaker blowing at least 4 times per day and a wasp nest inside the breaker box which stung me several times during the week we spent there. we had to run our generator several times because of the breaker keep tripping. I am handy capped and we were on a handy capped site. We won't be back

Great family time with 4 generations
Crew did an excellent job getting campground ready to open after a long delay due to eagle nesting in the area

I’ve been camping there all my life. Everything was good, except for the mosquito part. It was so awful we all got thousands of bites. We left a day early because we can’t stand it.

First, this is a great campground, nicely wooded areas, clean and surrounded by the lake. That said, I wish they could add some more restrictive rules regarding generator usage (or maybe open up more sites with electric). We've had several visits somewhat ruined, where we tent camped at one the nicer lakeside lots (43) and had a large camper right beside us that ran one of the loud generators from morning until quite time. I'm not blaming them, because again, it's a nice site and they really didn't break any rules, but maybe rules could be added to limit usage more or the sound level of the equipment. Thanks

This was not our original reservation. The campground had been closed due to prior flooding and we had been unable to reach anyone by phone until 4 days before the reservation date. They planned to reopen two days before our reservation date but not our section. Nobody notified us about this. The ranger I finally reached on the phone was very helpful. I appreciated that she let me know what spaces were empty for me to change the reservation and even pointed out they had one electric spot left. We weren't able to get an electric spot the first time. This site has a significant slope to it. Enough so, that it was a challenge to unhitch and we were unable to get fully level.
