I was told by a Park Ranger that I couldn't have access to water because the park was set up for primitive access.

Sites not very level on golden loop but some great views in March!.
Unfortunately we were in during the high wind storm and a large tree fell on the campers next to us. No injuries to the humans but to some camp equipment. The question is would i go back and that answer is absolutely yes!

Nice place for camping. Awesome campsites with electric are open for winter. Will certainly be back.

Enjoyed the fall scenery, wildlife, and quietness. Disappointed the dump station was closed and no time frame when operational. Also, no where to fill campers with water. Ranger Station was not always available.

Shenango is a pleasant place. However, in the last part of the season, when a portion of the park is closed off in preparation for winter, no water is available save in the one open restroom. It would be very useful to have one tap available where one could refill an RV's water supply.
