Not happy when I found someone else on my site..they booked someone else on my site. Bathrooms were not very convenient and the showers were terrible. I will not be booking there any more.

Shenango is usually a nice place. It is now undergoing much reconstruction and is a mess. We hope to see it when it is finished.

We were at Shenango Recreation Area in August 2021 in a 40' Class A motorhome. There was construction going on so a temporary dump station was set up that was very unsanitary, dirty and nasty. There is no water or sewer at the sites and the mosquitos were so bad we could not enjoy the outdoors. Water to fill our fresh water tanks was not easy to get to but at least it was available. Showers at the few restrooms were in need to repair but were kept clean as long as you wore flip flops. We have T-mobile and there was two bars of service (enough to stream on our hotspots). Sites were not too close to one another and there are a lot of trees, so that was nice. A lot of muddy areas required us to remove shoes every time we went outside (even from our car to the RV). Many campers had so much stuff at their sites that it looked like they were full timers but I know full timers are not allowed. Generators broke the peace and quiet of the park and the water of the nearby lake seemed to be very dirty (not the parks fault). The park is located close to Sunbury so shopping was good. The park is old and in need of attention (which they are working on).

Mosquitoes were terrible, possibly because of high water. Area needs fogged before they get worse….
