What Guests Are Saying

Corbin's Island Picnic Shelter is a clean and family-friendly venue that meets various requirements for gatherings. However, some issues were noted regarding electrical capacity, as multiple high-power devices can trip breakers. Additionally, the presence of tubing guests using the power outlets can lead to noise and conflicts over outlet usage, suggesting a need for clearer signage.

Facility meet our requirements, we encountered two problems: electric needs higher amperage for breaker or a separate breaker for each outlet as we kept loosing power and had to reset breaker. ( more than two crockpots will trip breaker if they are on high).
Many guest to the site who are tubing will ask to use the power, some do not ask but will hook up to any open outlet, (note this is only power available at site), to fill their tubes or floating devices. Although I’m usually open to allowing them to fill up one or two tubes some groups have 4 to 5 items and the pumps are loud and distracting. I have told a couple groups that we are using all the outlets or want some quiet and they make some nasty remarks and some become belligerent. I don’t have an answer to this problem but perhaps a large letter sign at the outlets letting people know that they are for site rentals and can only be used if the site is not rented.

Happy to be able to reserve the pavilion for our outing. The area is quiet and enjoyable. Bathrooms were clean. Could have been mowed better though. A great place for a river float.

The bathrooms were not cleaned and the pavilion was a mess with trash and fishing line all over.
