What Guests Are Saying

Corbin's Island Picnic Shelter is a clean and family-friendly venue that meets various requirements for gatherings. However, some issues were noted regarding electrical capacity, as multiple high-power devices can trip breakers. Additionally, the presence of tubing guests using the power outlets can lead to noise and conflicts over outlet usage, suggesting a need for clearer signage.

We held a multi year COVID and current graduations party held here. We use this access for point to point floats so very familiar with the facility. Had the best day and the best memories made. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

The Picnic Shelter electricity has one receptacle on each side of the same end of the shelter if you have a standard crock pot the chord may not be long enough to allow the crock pot to reach the closest table to the receptacle. We bring heavy extension cord power strips with ground fault detectors. Tables are strapped down so they cannot be moved close. There is only one 15 amp breaker for the receptacles and if you have an electric skillet and two or more crock pots plugged in the breaker may trip and you will have to reset. You have to keep checking the light on the pots to see if you have power.
